Accompanying the Masquerade is the traditional BayCon 2022 Variety Show. This year’s theme is “THIS IS ME“. Come share your talent or whatever you’ve got on stage! There are several T-Shirt styles and colors to select from. Price will vary depending on type of fabric and any size larger than XL my increase the cost. Please allow up to two weeks for delivery.

BayCon 2022 Schedule is Live
At long last, the Programming Ninjas have come out of hiding to give us a full look at the awesome weekend of programming they have planned. And it’s a doozy!
You can view the BayCon 2022 program in any of the following ways:

- Download the “Grenadine Event Guide App” on the Google Play Store or iOS App Store (alternately use this link). After installing the app, enter the code “BayCon2022” to load the schedule.
Using either the website or the mobile app, you can customize the schedule of events to the programming items you want to attend or be reminded about. Bios for our panelists are also available in the app or online.
Please be aware that programming adjustments will most certainly occur, so keep checking back for program change announcements and new programming items. Can’t wait to see you in July!

Consider placing a Shout Out in the BayCon Program Book. Every members gets a book when they arrive, and will see your Shout Out as they flip through it’s pages. We’re offering Shout Outs as a business card-sized ad (3.5″x2″) at the fan rate ($45). Please email Publications if you are interested!

BayCon 2022 Welcomes Featured Guest Tananarive Due
BayCon 2022: The Sun Rises is happy to share our latest Featured Guest: Tananarive Due!
TANANARIVE DUE (tah-nah-nah-REEVE doo) is an award-winning author who teaches Black Horror and Afrofuturism at UCLA. She is an executive producer on Shudder’s groundbreaking documentary Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror. She and her husband/collaborator Steven Barnes wrote “A Small Town” for Season 2 of “The Twilight Zone” on CBS All Access/Paramount+. A leading voice in black speculative fiction for more than 20 years, Due has won an American Book Award, an NAACP Image Award, and a British Fantasy Award, and her writing has been included in best-of-the-year anthologies. Her books include Ghost Summer: Stories, My Soul to Keep, and The Good House. She and her late mother, civil rights activist Patricia Stephens Due, co-authored Freedom in the Family: a Mother-Daughter Memoir of the Fight for Civil Rights. She is married to author Steven Barnes, with whom she collaborates on screenplays. They live with their son, Jason, and two cats.
