The Alex Foundation is the charity selected by BayCon for 2009. Dr. Irene Pepperberg has spent much of her life learning how to communicate with African Grey Parrots, and spreading this information throughout the scientific community. The foundation continues its work to delineate the intelligence of animals as evidenced by their ability to communicate.
