Line Policy and Room Capacity for the 2007 BayCon Masquerade
Since BayCon has a new (temporary) home this year, we have had to implement some creative methods to fit our normal events into the new hotel. The room for Masquerade is smaller and there is limited space for lines.
This means that the normal line for the Masquerade will not work well to keep us all safe and traffic flowing. The system we will need to use for this year is the following:
At Noon on Saturday there will be a table by the North Beach / Collaborate 3 room. We will start to give out wrist bands at that time.
First come, first served. No other preferences or priorities. Period.
No more than two per member. Your con membership number will be marked off.
The total number of wrist bands given out will match the safety capacity for the room.
When all of the wrist bands have been given away, that is it. No more.
No one will be admitted to the Masquerade without a wrist band. No exceptions.
The possession of a wrist band does not guarantee admittance to the Masquerade if you arrive after the doors have been closed.
Further detailed instructions will be given when you pick up your wrist band.
We know that we won't be able to get everyone who wants to see the Masquerade into the ballroom. We are sorry but we must follow the safety guidelines. In 2008 our new hotel will be much larger and we will be able to accommodate many more members. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
