BayCon 2006 Writers' Workshop
by Kent Brewster writers@baycon.org
The Coolest Thing You'll Never See at BayCon
... is the annual Writers' Workshop. In several top-secret locations, groups of seven writers--three professionals, three hopeful participants, and a moderator qualified in kung fu, practical nursing, and formal literary critique--meet in private to conduct the ritual examination of 20,000 words of deathless prose.
The results can be astonishingly good: over the years, participants from the Workshop have gone on to sell stories and novels, collect Hugo and Nebula nominations, and returned in subsequent years as honored guests of BayCon.
To lift the veil around this shadowy company and see for yourself, please come visit http://www.baycon.org/writers, or contact us at writers@baycon.org.
Deadlines are coming up fast: we'll need your work by April 1st!
